Birth Doula Support

I have worked in the birth world now for 14 years! During this time I have learned (and unlearnt) a lot. I offer two comprehensive birth doula packages like no other in Shropshire. You will be fully supported by me during pregnancy, birth, and early days. You have time to get to know and feel comfortable with me, and in turn, I get to know you and your preferences. I have experience working as an NHS professional and independently as a birth worker and I have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the physiology of childbirth but also of the 'system'. I am confident in liaising and building rapport with midwives and doctors involved in your care.

Birth doulas provide continuous support for women and families in childbirth. We provide information, practical and emotional support and advocacy for women with other professionals involved in your journey. Research has shown that having continuous support from one person during labour may have benefits including an increased chance of spontaneous vaginal birth, shorter duration of labour, decreased likelihood of caesarean birth or instrumental birth and most importantly a more positive feeling towards your birthing experience.
